Meet Pastor Howie
I'm glad that you would like to know more about me and the ministry God has given me here at CHC Naz.
My name is Howard Quinton Stooksbury (you understand why I simply go by "Pastor Howie"!). I'm thirty-seven years old, and I've been a Christian for the past twenty years. I have been married for the past fourteen years to my beautiful wife Linda (also a pastor in her own right). Together we have four wonderful adopted children; Jake (9), Cait (7), Seane (6), and Cheyann (5). Our home also includes a 100lb+ dog named Paco and two cats named Nazzie and Chewie; never a dull moment!
I've enjoyed the awesome calling of the Lord Jesus Christ in full-time ministry for the last fourteen years both as an Associate Pastor (8 yrs) and as a Senior Pastor (6 yrs). I graduated from Gibbs High School in 1987, and am an alumnus of both Pellissippi State College and Trevecca Nazarene University (TNU). God ordained me on the Illinois District in the summer of 2000.
I love living and ministering in Littleton; after interviewing here at CHC Naz, I truly believe that I was "born" to live here! My philosophy of ministry is to live out what Jesus said was the "Cliff Notes" version of the whole Bible: "Love God, and love each other!" This is what my ministry is all about, and the various aspects of it are all ways of expressing this simple truth.
I enjoy being with my family, lifting weights (I'm a former competitive powerlifter), playing golf, and relaxing with a good movie or TV show. I also greatly enjoy just being with people...so if you want: write me, call me, e-mail me, or just drop by - I promise to do my best to make time for you. You're the reason why God has me here!
